All in all, I'm really enjoying the s61 so far. I have not tested the transport controls but assume they do not work. Once your patch is selected you record as usual. From inside FL Studio, you can add this same Komplete Kontrol software in VST form as a new channel and the experience of navigating through patches is identical to that of the standalone experience. The Native Instruments KOMPLETE KONTROL S61 MK2 builds upon the success of the original with an updated user interface featuring two high-resolution displays and more buttons for faster direct control over parameters.
The filtering capabilities and ability to do everything from the keyboard itself are outstanding.
This can run standalone outside your DAW and allows you to quickly and easily switch through all your libraries and play with the various sounds. Essentially, there is a piece of software confusingly referred to as Komplete Kontrol. With regard to the FL Studio integration, the solution definitely meets my needs. It took a few hours to download everything, but it's been a blast to play with. KOMPLETE KONTROL software, MASCHINE Essentials, and KOMPLETE 12 SELECT Instruments and Effects collection provided as downloads after. Indeed, after registering the hardware and downloading a few items via the Native Access hardware, the KOMPLETE 12 SELECT bundle became available. Update: I picked up an S61 a few days ago, and I am very happy so far.
